Many competition authorities around the world give high priority to cartel detection and prosecution. Effective leniency programmes and investigation tools as well as increasing public awareness are focal points of the seminar. The presentations will show how leniency programmes can be implemented successfully and give insights into best practices of onsite investigations and the subsequent evaluation of documentary and other evidence. We will also talk about raising awareness for cartels that affect public procurement and look at case examples throughout the seminar. The topics will be addressed and discussed in lectures and case studies by competition experts from OECD countries as well as case studies presented by the Croatian competition authority. A roundtable discussion will follow each presentation. Two practical exercises for all participants will provide opportunities for learning and exchange.
