This workshop will discuss a variety of topics relating to the electricity markets. Competition topics on all production stages – generation, distribution, retail – and with regard to different problems like market definition, vertical integration, merger control, abusive and collusive practices and remedies will be discussed. We will also look at examples of integrated electricity markets and at regulatory approaches. The topics will be addressed and discussed in lectures and case studies by competition experts from the OECD countries as well as through case studies presented by participants. A roundtable discussion will follow each presentation.
